Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
TariffGuard is operated by Desert Oasis Digital LLC ("TariffGuard", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our tariff exposure calculator and related services (the "Service"). TariffGuard is a business-to-business product handling sensitive corporate procurement data, and we treat that data accordingly.
1. What data we collect and why
- Account data — name, work email, company, and authentication credentials, used to create and secure your account.
- Procurement data — items, quantities, values, origin countries, HTS codes, and project details you enter, used to calculate tariff exposure and match suppliers.
- Usage and security data — IP address, timestamps, device/browser information, and login events, used to secure the account and provide audit logs.
- Billing data — handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
2. How procurement data is stored and protected
Procurement data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Each company's data is fully isolated using row-level security, so no customer can access another customer's data. Access is logged and restricted to authenticated members of your own account.
3. Zero training data policy
Your data never trains our AI. Data you submit to TariffGuard is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning model. We do not sell, share, or disclose your procurement data to any third party for their own use.
4. Your rights, including data deletion
You may access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. You can request complete deletion of all your data by emailing will@tariffguard.io; requests are processed within 72 hours.
5. Data sources
Tariff rate data is sourced from the official US International Trade Commission Harmonized Tariff Schedule API and refreshed every 24 hours. Such rates are informational estimates for planning purposes.
6. Limitation of liability
TariffGuard provides informational tariff data and analysis only. It does not constitute legal, financial, customs, or procurement advice. See our Terms of Service for full details.
7. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
